W.T.F is an eyeshadow primer for?
Well, it’s to keep your eyeshadow from creasing more than it normally would, and it is to help prime the lid so eyeshadow will go on smoother.
Basically, you know when you look in the mirror and your eyeshadow has gone from a beautiful made up eye to a half moon of greasy eyeshadow in your crease. Um. Ewww. It’s so gross.
The eyeshadow primer helps prevent this.
The Eyeshadow Primers You Must Try
You can get any of these items online through the retailer I have linked, or you can get them from Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, Saks etc.
But, remember all of this is subjective. K? K.
Urban Decay is the ONLY brand I have tried that will not do that. Hey, it even made my eyeshadow last 5 hours in the Savannah, Georgia Humidity. To some readers, that sounds so lame, but to those in the south, who know the extent of sweat, you know this is no small feat! It can also be a little drying to some. Check out the reviews on Makeupalley.com – of 6,228 reviews 81% would repurchase.
If you have dry eyelids, I would check into some of the options below, as they are really good products.
On Makeupalley, out of 1672 reviews, 76% said they would repurchase.
This is a lower end option. A lot of people swear by this, and the price can’t be beat! When I tried it, I didn’t like it. Others call it a dupe for Urban Decay. On Makeupalley, out of 889 reviews, 77% would repurchase. That’s pretty good!
Everyone should at least try an eyeshadow primer. It really does help the eyeshadow last. If you have any questions about the primers above, don’t hesitate to ask me, I would love to help and offer my thoughts!
